- John 20:29–Jesus’ famous words to “Doubting” Thomas, “…blessed are those who have not seen yet have believed” (NIV).
- Romans 4:20–“[Abraham] did not waiver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God” (NIV).
- Mark 7:29-30 (24-30)–the Syro-Phoenician woman still believes despite being resisted and receiving nothing but Jesus’ word.
- John 4:49-50 (46-53)–the synagogue ruler also still believes despite being resisted and receiving nothing but Jesus’ word.
- Romans 10:17–“…faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ” (NIV).
